Dialysate comprises the fluid and solutes in a dialysis process that simply flow through the dialyzer and do not pass through the semipermeable membrane. This is commonly associated with peritoneal dialysis whereby the abdominal area is slowly filled with dialysate through a catheter. The blood stays in the arteries and veins that line the patient’s peritoneal cavity. Extra fluid and waste products are drawn out of the blood and into the dialysate.
With an industry leading clinical collection network, BioIVT can provide dialysate from patients with various pathological indications.
